Pros and cons of MapHook app for iPhone and iPad

MapHook app good for

I was incredibly impressed with this app, but Id like the ability to create links to more web resources than Wikipedia and Yelp. Making the notes field recognize hyperlinks would revolutionize this app for me and allow me to use it to annotate locations for educational purposes. Still, youve set the bar high with this app particularly with how you handle lists of contacts.
The ability to create hooks for multiple places, and then rate the location youve hooked is very nice. As well being able to see others opinions of a specific place can help a lot in deciding whether you would want to go there or not. This app will be fun to use for keeping good memories of places, hopefully I will be able to get my friends in on this too.
I am new to MapHook, but it only took me a couple minutes to figure it out! I am already having fun coming up with hooks to share and have been checking out any hooks that are close to me or places Ive been! A very fun free app!!
I really like what MapHook has done, the ability to add some quick details about a location including photos, comments and reviews is easy. I just hope they can manage to catch more users... not a lot of hooks in my area yet! Ill have to spread the word :)
I love using MapHook for 2 big reasons. 1) its easy, and 2) I can choose who I want to share things with. I can take pics, write blog entries, whatever - but I get to choose who can see em - family, friends, or the entire world. Having a website that matches the phone app doesnt hurt either!
Certainly the most interesting concept around. A possible Facebook+twitter killer!

Some bad moments

iPhone 4 and it keeps crashing. App has potential so I hope this gets fixed.
Title says it all. Its pretty much unusable in its current state.
Asks for too much information for sign up. Deleted. Not yet ready to share my phone number, email, and location with you.
This is a good idea but too much demographic information is required. Also, anything you post becomes property of MapHook per the user agreement.
I wanted to, but it wants my phone number? Why on earth? Remove that requirement and Ill try it again... As for now, its gone.
This looked interesting but you cant even view or see anyone elses hooks unless and sign up and create an account. Annoying as I dont need 1000 usernames on 1000 different sites. Learn from Yelp! Let us view the map and hooks and then if we want to post we can sign up.
